Founded in March 2025, we bring together live sound and lighting, photography, videography, choreography, video editing, and marketing, all under one roof, one crew, from first idea through to final delivery.

Ryan and Kendra’s partnership started long before Ryken Projects did, through years working together in theatre production. That shared experience eventually led to stepping away to build something of their own.
That foundation still shapes how we work today. We don’t treat clients like another booking on a calendar. Every production gets our full attention, start to finish, because that’s simply how we’ve always worked.

Ryan John
Director & FounderAs founder of Ryken Projects, Ryan leads the technical direction behind every production. Starting out as a performer before moving toward the technical side of theatre, he now specialises in live sound mixing and lighting programming, ensuring every show runs with precision from load-in to final blackout.
Kendra Coetzee
Co-Founder, Director & ChoreographerKendra shapes the creative direction of Ryken Projects, leading choreography and musical direction across the company’s productions. With a background in performance and extensive dance training, her primary focus is bringing productions to life from concept through to opening night, while also working across the technical side alongside Ryan when a show calls for it.
Both coming from the stage to the technical and creative side of production is part of what makes Ryken Projects work the way it does, hands-on, detail-focused, and built on real production experience.
